Maureen Weston
Maureen Weston is Professor of Law at Pepperdine University School of Law. She is a member of the NCAA Committee of Infractions, an arbitrator on the rosters for the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee Dispute Resolution Unit, the American Arbitration Association, and FINRA.
Weston is on the Board of Directors for the Sports Lawyers Association (SLA), the National Sports Law Institute, and on the Editorial Board for LawInSport. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado, and Bachelor of Arts in Economics/Political Science at the University of Denver.
Professor Weston teaches courses on U.S. and international sports law, arbitration, mediation, negotiation, international dispute resolution, and legal ethics. She serves on the ABA, Law School Division, Arbitration Competition and AALS Sports Law Executive Committee. She is actively involved in programs furthering opportunities for students to gain advocacy experience in sports law and dispute resolution. Prior to teaching, Weston practiced commercial law in Colorado.
In addition to her numerous publications in the areas of Olympic & International Sports Law, Arbitration, and Disability Law, Weston has co-authored casebooks on Sports Law, Arbitration Law, and Understanding Dispute Resolution. Weston also serves as a volunteer for School on Wheels and is an avid tennis player.
